Another AC joins LMC staff

Marcus Wilmoth has been named the new assistant men’s basketball coach at Lees-McRae College, announced head coach Steve Hardin. He is the second assistant to be officially announced in the past two days – assistant J.T. Blair was officially introduced yesterday (http://hoopdirt.com/news/7be7f6d0/lees-mcrae-college-hires-a…).

Wilmoth comes to Lees-McRae from nearby Appalachian State University, where he served as a graduate assistant with the Mountaineer men’s basketball program last season. He filled many roles during his time at ASU, serving as the program’s Film Exchange coordinator and game film editor, as well as a skill development coach and camp coordinator.

Prior to working with the Mountaineers, Wilmoth played one season at Surry Community College for his father, Eddie Wilmoth. The Dobson, N.C. native has also served as the head coach of the Carolina Bearcats AAU team for the past three seasons following a successful AAU career of his own, winning a national championship with the NC Gaters AAU team.
