Keith Hack, who most recently served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, N.Y., has been named to the same position at the State University of New York at New Paltz, as announced by the Department of Athletics, Wellness & Recreation. Hack will begin his duties on Aug. 6.

Hack will be charged with assisting the head coach with recruiting, scouting and on-the-court instruction in addition to assisting with the day-to-day operations of the men’s basketball office.

Hack spent the past two years as an assistant at Niagara County Community College, where he helped recruit, scout, oversee academic achievements of student-athletes, prepare the team and facility on game day and provide on-the-court instruction. During the 2011-12 campaign, NCCC went 19-9.

This past year, Hack served as the U-16 AAU boys’ head basketball coach with the 716 Basketball Crusaders.

Hack, a native of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., enjoyed a standout collegiate career at Medaille College, as he ranks among the program’s top 10 all-time in career scoring (1,211, fourth), career rebounds (544, second), career field goals made (435, third), career games played (101, tied for seventh), career three-point field goals made (75, 10th) and career free throws made (266, fifth).
