West Virginia Wesleyan College Director of Athletics, Ken Tyler, announced today that Patrick Beilein has been named head men’s basketball coach.
Beilein, currently director of men’s basketball operations at Division I Bradley University, will be formally introduced to the campus and community at a press conference on Tuesday, June 5, at 1:30 in the Rockefeller Center.
Prior to Bradley, Beilein served as an assistant coach at Dartmouth College and as a graduate assistant under his father John Beilein at the University of Michigan.
Beilein played professional basketball in Ireland and as a member of the Houston Rockets’ NBA summer league following a stellar career at West Virginia University, where he scored over 1,000 points and was a member of teams that advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight. He will officially begin his duties at Wesleyan on June 15.
