Northwest Tech (KS) has selected Jase Herl as the first-ever men’s basketball coach at the college. Herl graduated from Goodland High School in 2006. He went onto Dodge City Community College, earning an Associate Degree in General Studies. He transferred to Mesa State College in Colorado, where he was a two year starter on the men’s basketball team. Herl broke school records his senior year; was 1st team All Conference; 1st team Academic All Conference; and Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Northwest Tech basketball will begin play in the 2012-2013 season.
