The University of Detroit named their court in honor of Dick Vitale at a ceremony before their contest with St. John’s last night. Vitale was the head coach at Detroit from 1973-1977 before becoming the head coach of the Pistons. He went 78-30 during his time at UD. The dedication took place on the 32nd anniversary of Vitale’s first college broadcast.
