Craig Wells, who has served in the Texas Tech University Athletics Department for the last nine years, has been named the school’s first assistant athletic director for basketball operations. Wells joined the Texas Tech Athletics staff in 2002, and most recently oversaw external operations. Wells spent nine years as a coach. He served five years as both a head coach and an assistant in basketball and football coach at Roswell Goddard High School (Roswell, N.M.). He was also the head basketball coach at Gallup High School (Gallup, N.M.) for one year and the head basketball coach at Lubbock High for three years.
