Northern Kentucky University Director of Athletics Ken Bothof has announced a change in leadership of NKU’s men’s basketball program, as Dave Bezold will no longer serve as head coach of the Norse.

"This is difficult given Dave’s role in our university and our community," said Bothof. "Dave is a good man and has given much of himself to the development of the young men in our basketball program. I am grateful for his service and wish him and his family well."

NKU just completed its third year of the four-year transitional period to Division I.

A national search for a new coach will begin immediately.
