Daily Dirt – 3/16/15

So much going on…here are a few things to kick off what should be a busy week…

• Multiple sources have now confirmed to me that Matthew Taylor is no longer the head coach at NAIA DI St. Catharine (KY). Taylor took over at St. Catharine last June – he had been an assistant at Pikeville (KY) and was an assistant at St. Catharine before that. I am expecting the official announcement sometime this week.

• I can also confirm that former Tennessee-Martin head coach Brett Campbell will become the next head coach at Chipola (FL). Campbell was most recently an assistant at Austin Peay, and has also worked at Central Florida, Birmingham Southern, and Kennesaw State. Look for the official announcement sometime today.

• I have heard from a great source that Douglas Byrd is out as the head coach at South Georgia Tech. He had been an assistant at SGTC for three seasons before being named as the head coach last May. He also worked as a HS coach in Georgia before joining the college ranks.

• Will have some high major stuff later on today…a ton of stuff going down as we speak – stay tuned!
