I can confirm that AIB College of Business (IA) will be discontinuing the athletics program. The college recently inked a deal to merge with the University of Iowa. The coaches of all of the sports have been informed of the news, and I have heard that all scholarships will be honored through 2016. AIB head coach Cory Jenkins will now be out of a job – his team is currently 17-7 (7-2 Midwest Collegiate Conference). This is Jenkins second year as the head coach at AIB where his team has made a remarkable turn around – they were 1-28 last season.
