A couple of things to kick off the week…
• I have heard that Pfeiffer assistant Ben McDonald has departed and will join the staff at Combine Academy (NC). Last season was McDonald’s first at Pfeiffer – he was a HS coach in NY before that. He also founded a company that specialized in strength and conditioning and on court player development for high school, college, and professional players. Look for an official announcement shortly.
• Word on the street is that recently hired Union (KY) assistant Cory Gardner is out and that he will be replaced by Rusty Elmore. Gardner joined the staff back in the spring after a stint at Virginia Intermont. It sounds like he has now accepted a HS job in KY. Elmore has been an assistant at Lindsey Wilson College (KY) for the past three seasons. I have heard that the announcement will come today or tomorrow.
