Back from vacation and completely swamped! Here are a few things that I heard today…
• Word on the street is that former Grambling State head coach Joseph Price is the leader for the Central State (OH) job. Price spent the past two seasons as the head coach at Grambling before being released earlier this summer. He has also been an assistant at Lamar, Ball State, Morehead State, and IUPUI. He played for Digger Phelps at Notre Dame in the 1980’s.
• I can confirm that former Chico State assistant Jordan Jones has accepted the top assistant spot at Modesto Junior College where he will also become an adjunct instructor. Prior to his time at Chico State, he was the video coordinator at UC Davis under head coach Jim Les.
• I have heard that Keith Richardson Jr. will be hired as an assistant coach at Arkansas Baptist College. He spent this past season as an assistant at Central Arkansas.
• More names are already surfacing at the College of Charleston. One name to eliminate – Georgia Southern head coach Mark Byington. The long-time former C of C released a statement saying that he was staying at GSU.
