Day 3 of camp in the books. Here’s what I’ve heard while dominating kids in knockout…

• I have heard that Delaware video coordinator Mitch Smucker will become the DBO at Dartmouth. Smucker has been at UD of the past two seasons, and was a manager at Temple before that.

• It sounds like there are four finalists for the vacant Gordon State job. I have heard that the final four are: John Meeks (head coach Wallace State), Spencer Wright (assistant coach Mercer), Gordon Gibbons (former head coach Clayton State), and Bruce Capers (head coach Aiken Tech – formerly "Sugar Bear" of the Harlem Globetrotters). Sounds like an announcement will be made shortly here.

• I can confirm that Western Oklahoma State associate head coach Kevin Simmons has been hired as an assistant at Francis Marion University. The 20-year military veteran has also served as the DBO at St Peter’s. He replaces Crayton Jones who has been hired as a women’s assistant at East Carolina earlier this summer.
