Round 2…

• I have heard that Armstrong Atlantic is in the final stages of their search. It sounds like two of the finalists are Mercer assistant Doug Esleeck and Limestone head coach Brandon Scott. I have heard that decision / announcement could come as early as today.

• It sounds like Oklahoma State assistant Steve Middleton has not been retained. Middleton had been at OSU for the past six seasons, and also worked with OSU head coach Travis Ford at UMass and Eastern Kentucky. There are some grumblings that former Houston head coach James Dickey could be in the mix to replace Middleton. Dickey has also been the head coach at Texas Tech, and previously served as an assistant at Oklahoma State under Eddie Sutton.

• I have heard that former Eastern Kentucky player and GA Joshua Jones will join John Moseley’s new staff at Lincoln (MO). Jones is a 2012 EKU graduate – he scored 1192 points during his career there.
