Daily Dirt – 4/7/14

Nice to be back home from Dallas. There is a ton of stuff going on, still trying to cull through a lot of it. Here are a few things to start off the day…

• Two separate people have told me that Metro State head coach Derrick Clark is involved with the job at Delaware State. He holds a 111-20 record in his four seasons at Metro State (32-2 this season). He has also been an assistant at Colorado and Air Force.

• I have heard from a few people to keep an eye on Matt Margenthaler and Western Illinois. The current Minnesota State head coach is a 1991 WIU graduate and led his team to a 30-5 record this past year (284-115 in 13-seasons). His father Jack was the head coach at WIU from 1977 to 1992.

• Word on the street is that Mike Jarvis II is involved with an assistant spot at Boston College. Jarvis was most recently the associate head coach at Florida Atlantic under his father Mike Jarvis. He also spent time as an administrative staffer at Duke, and worked on his father’s staffs at George Washington and St. John’s. He is a Boston University grad.
