Multiple sources have told me that Western Kentucky will hire Louisiana Lafayette assistant Shawn Forest as an assistant. Forest spent just one season on Bob Marlin’s staff at UL. He has also been an assistant at North Texas, Arkansas State, Florida A&M, and Troy. He would replace Phil Cunningham who became the head coach at Troy in March. The official announcement is expected this week.
