UMass-Lowell head coach Greg Herenda is the choice at Fairleigh Dickinson. We have been mentioning his name here for the last few weeks. The hiring was confirmed earlier today by CBSSports.com’s Jeff Goodman. My sources tell me that late last week Herenda was offered an extension by UML – he took a few days to think about it before finally accepting FDU’s offer. Herenda compiled a 95-54 record in five seasons as the Riverhawks head coach.
