The "hot" rumor going around this morning was that Hofstra AD Jeff Hathaway had now set his sights on Duquesne head coach Jim Ferry. Ferry had a ton of success at nearby Adelphi (82-11) and then at LIU-Brooklun before taking the Duquesne job last spring. I can now confirm that Ferry is NOT in the mix at Hofstra, and has said that he has not talked to any one there. I’m not sure where the search at Hofstra is headed after Iona’s Tim Cluess said no, but I know that it won’t include Ferry.
