A couple quickies to round out the night. Also, I mentioned I had some small college Florida dirt and a Marist update – I’ll get that up tomorrow. I got too distracted watching the games today to focus!

• I have heard that Chris Craig has resigned as the head coach at Midland JC (TX). He was 39-18 during his two seasons at Midland. He has also been an assistant at Northern Colorado and the head coach at Eastern Utah. It sounds like the search is already underway for his replacement.

• I published my Ball State candidates earlier today (http://hoopdirt.com/blog/c41fe5cf/ball-state-rumors/…). I have now been told by two people close to the situation to add Ray McCallum to the list. McCallum is currently the head coach at Detroit, but was the HC at Ball State from 1993-2000 (126-76). He left in 2000 to take the job at Houston. McCallum is the all-time leading scorer at Ball State (2,109 points). He has also been an assistant at Indiana, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
