According to multiple sources, longtime Concordia (NE) head coach Grant Schmidt has resigned effective immediately. Apparently he has cited personal reasons for his decision and has also resigned from his teaching post at the school. Schmidt posted a 445-276 record during his 23-seasons at CU. He will be replaced by assistant coach Martin Kohlwey – a CU alum who has been on Schmidt’s staff for the past six seasons.
