Daily Dirt – 9/19/12

Busy day today – here’s what I’ve got…

• I have heard that Dartmouth assistant Ricky Moore is headed to UConn in a still to be determined role. Moore is a former UConn captain who was part of the 1999 National Championship squad. He had been on Dartmouth’s staff for the past two seasons

• It sounds like Moore’s replacement at Dartmouth will be New Hampshire assistant Jean Bain. Bain has spent the past 7-seasons on Bill Herrion’s staff at UNH. He played collegiately at Northeastern.

• Speaking of Dartmouth…the Big Green have hired Abe Woldeslassie as the DBO. He had been an assistant at Bowdoin College (ME) for the previous three seasons. He fills Jordan Watson’s spot – Watson was elevated to AC earlier in the summer.

• I have heard that Lane CC (OR) assistant Jordan Altman will be named as the head coach at Grays Harbor CC (WA). Altman is the son of current Oregon head coach Dana Altman and has also worked at Indiana State and Wayne State.

• It sounds like Brett Spiker has been hired as the GA at New Mexico Highlands. He spent last season as the head coach at Allen HS (NE). Spiker would replace Eric Hall who has decided to return to his home state of South Dakota to teach and coach at Huron High School.

• Word on the street is that Gettysburg (PA) assistant Stuart Pradia is involved with an advance scout position with the Houston Rockets. Pradia has spent the past three seasons on the Gettysburg staff – he has also been an assistant at Washington (Md.) College and Washington & Lee University.
