Georgia State head coach Ron Hunter is close to signing a multi-year contract extension. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a new 6-year pact that will run through 2018 has been agreed upon. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed yet. Hunter is expected to ink the deal next week. Last year was Hunters first at GSU and he led the squad to a 22-12 record – the 2nd best mark in school history. He had spent the previous 17 seasons as the head coach at IUPUI (274-219).
