Today’s "dirt"…

• I have heard that Rochester assistant Ryan Mee is in the mix to become an assistant at Davidson. He would replace Landry Kosmalski who recently became the head coach at Swarthmore (http://hoopdirt.com/news/706a2f10/davidson-asst-gets-swarthm…). Mee has been an assistant at his alma mater for the past three seasons. He has also worked at Elmira, Hilbert, and Skidmore.

• Multiple sources have told me that Houston Baptist assistant Keith Berard is will join Randy Rahe’s staff at Weber State. Berard is a Houston native, but familiar with Utah – he played for Bill Evans at Southern Utah. He will replace Tim Gardner who resigned in May to pursue other opportunities.

• Sounds like former Indiana University Northwest and College of Lake County head coach Shawn Chism has been named head men’s basketball coach at Malcolm X College (Chicago). Chism has been on DI staffs at Northern Illinois and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

• I have heard that Michigan graduate manager Will Vergollo will join Patrick Beilein’s new staff at West Virginia Wesleyan. Vergollo has worked for Beinein’s father John in various administrative roles at Michigan since 2006.

• I can confirm that John A. Logan College (IL) head coach Mark Imhoff is retiring. Imhoff has compiled a 337-200 record at the school over the past 17 seasons. There is no word yet on a possible successor.
