A late night update on Morehead State…

I blogged earlier today on what I have heard at Morehead State. Since then, things have been happening pretty quickly. I mentioned this morning that Pikeville head coach Kelly Wells has withdrawn from consideration – I’ve now also heard that Transylvania head coach Brian Lane has done the same. It also sounds like Happy Osborne is no longer a candidate. The “hot” name right now is Butler associate head coach Matthew Graves. He has interviewed, and many are now calling him the leader. Graves has been on the Butler staff for the past nine seasons, including National Championship appearances in 2010 and 2011. It now sounds like the final three are most likely Graves, current MSU associate head coach Wade O’Connor, and Mississippi Valley State head coach Sean Woods. I have also heard that the decision could come as early as tomorrow. Keep an eye on this fast moving situation.
