Here a a few things that I’ve heard this morning….

Old Dominion head coach Blaine Taylor met with officials from Wyoming yesterday. I can confirm that Wyoming AD Tom Burman as well as other senior level administrators flew to Virginia to discuss the Cowboy’s vacancy with Taylor. Taylor is under contract at ODU through 2015, but does have an out clause.

UW-Milwaukee head coach Rob Jeter is no longer a candidate at Bradley. He interviewed for the job over the weekend, but has since removed his name from consideration.

Two early candidates at Tennessee are Belmont head coach Rick Byrd and Celtics assistant Lawrence Frank. Byrd led Belmont to 30 wins and an NCAA appearance this season. He is a Knoxville native and a Tennessee grad who has amassed 610 wins in 30 seasons as a head coach. Frank, the former Nets coach, spent three seasons at Tennessee as a part of Kevin O’Neil’s staff. He would bring name recognition to the position.
