After four seasons Florida A&M has decided to go in a new direction with its coach. Today they placed head coach Eugene Harris on administrative leave with pay. He will be paid until June 10, 2011 and then officially released. Harris had a overall record of 46-80 at FAMU. Assistant coach Maurice Sheals will handle the day-to-day operations of the basketball team until a new coach is found.
