Here are a few things that I’ve heard so far today….

It looks like former Truman State (MO) head coach Jack Schrader will become the next head coach at Culver-Stockton College (MO). He resigned this week after a 16-year run at DII Truman State.

I’ve heard that former NBA player Johnny Newman is in the mix at Virginia State. The 16-year NBA veteran starred at nearby Richmond University where he is the Spider’s all-time leading scorer (2,383).

Air Force head coach Jeff Reynolds has been given a vote of confidence from AD Hans Mueh. Coming into this season, Air Force had back-to-back last place finishes in the Mountain West Conference, and then lost to DIII Colorado College early this season. Reynolds return was definitely in doubt, but a middle of the pack finish in the MWC seems to have saved his job. He is currently under contract until 2014.

It sounds like Simon Fraser assistant Stefon Wilson has accepted the head coaching position at Kwantlen University (Canada). Last year was his first at SFU – he was a HS coach in Michigan prior to that.
