Obviously it’s very early here, but I’ve already started hearing names for the Wyoming job. My sources have told me that AD Tom Burman will begin an immediate search, most likely with the help of a search firm. Also, former head coach Heath Schroyer was making $160k/yr base ($350-$400k with incentives) – that will have to go up significantly if they want to attract a quality candidate. Here’s a short list of what I’ve heard:

Dave Rice – Associate Head Coach – BYU

Larry Shyatt – Assistant Coach – Florida

Billy Gillispie – Former head coach – Kentucky and UTEP

Joe Dooley – Assistant Coach – Kansas

Mike Dunlap – Assistant Coach – St. John’s

Jeremy Cox – Assistant Coach – South Florida

Johnny Jones – Head Coach – North Texas

This is a pretty solid starting point. All great candidates, but we’ll see how it plays out. I’ll keep you updated as the search progresses.
