Under the supervision of the Athletics Director/Associate Athletics Director, and the Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball Program, the Assistant Coach’s primary responsibility will be to assist the head coach in all facets of the program, including, but not limited to:
• The recruitment of quality student-athletes.
• Organization and planning of practices.
• Game preparation.
• Administrative duties as assigned
• Scouting and game film preparation.
• Fundraising.
• Monitoring of student-athlete academic progress.
• Budget management.
• Travel.
• Compliance with NCAA.
• Strong organization skills required.
• Driver’s License required.
• Excellent customer and staff relation skills required.
• Must comply with policies established by federal and state laws, City University of New York (CUNY), CUNY Athletic Conference, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA Division III) policies and procedures.
