The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach/Lecturer assists the Head Men’s Coach in directing all activities of the men’s basketball program within NCAA, LSC, TAMUK, and TAMUS policies, guidelines, and procedures and is responsible for teaching a specified course load within the Department of Health and Kinesiology. The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach/Lecturer is responsible for maintaining high academic standards to support the academic development and graduation of student-athletes while focused on student-athlete welfare; assisting in successfully directing the men’s basketball program to compete for LSC and NCAA II championships; assisting in the recruitment of student-athletes and maintaining a culture of personal accountability in student-athlete conduct; assisting in the planning and direction of all practices, travel, and game activities; assisting, as delegated by the Men’s Head Basketball Coach, in preparing and managing the administrative functions of the men’s basketball program; and assisting in community engagement and donor relations by promoting the men’s basketball program; and assisting in community engagement ad donor relations by promoting the men’s basketball program within the priorities of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
