Adelphi University is inviting applications for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The program was founded in 1946 and has been a member of the Northeast-10 Conference since 2009-10, capturing two conference championships. With over 1,000 program wins, Adelphi has a history of success, making appearances in 18 NCAA Championship Tournaments, and 14 in the past 19 seasons. The program has also posted 20 or more wins in 16 of the past 19 seasons, making runs to the Elite Eight in 2001 and 2002.
The head basketball coach is responsible for the recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes. The head coach, in addition to all the requirements detailed in the Responsibilities and Duties section, is recognized as pivotal to, and responsible for, the record of the program as it relates to competitive scheduling, university/community relations and the enhancement and academic achievement of the student-athletes.
In addition, this position has responsibilities in organizing and overseeing all camp activities for the athletics department.
