The successful candidate will be expected to:
Assist the Head Coach in administering a highly competitive Division I Men’s Basketball program
Assist student athletes with meeting the Academic requirements when needed
Assist with scouting, recruitment, training and coaching of student athletes
Abide by all NCAA, SWAC and university rules and regulations
Promote the program within the community and local area through public appearances and taking part in departmental fund raising activities
Other duties as assigned by Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics
A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master’s preferred. The desired candidate should possess prior coaching experience in Division I Basketball and must demonstrate experience in promoting academic as well as athletic excellence in a program. A commitment to compliance with all NCAA and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) rules and regulations is expected.
