The assistant coach will assist the head coach in implementing the head coach’s plans for the direction and development of a nationally competitive Division I Men’s Basketball program at Kennesaw State University.

The individual will perform a variety of functions including, but not limited to, recruiting, coaching, budget management, purchasing equipment and uniforms, schedule games and practices, public relations and fundraising.

The assistant coach will be responsible for supporting the implementation of plans and programs which will achieve academic achievement, retention and graduation of each student-athlete on the roster.

This position will take a leadership or support role in department-wide priorities and initiatives, as directed by the head coach.

The assistant coach will be responsible for organizing, supervising, coordinating, and employing sound coaching techniques and practices, as directed by the head coach.

This person will participate in university and Athletic Department events as required.

The person must have a thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, conference, State of Georgia and university policies, rules and regulations.

Under the direction of the head coach, this individual will help prepare student-athletes physically, mentally, and emotionally to compete for Conference Championships and post-season competition.

A successful candidate will work to support the programs plan to create an atmosphere favorable to the ethical, academic and athletic development of
student-athletes.
