Demonstrate a working knowledge of and ability to comply with the rules and regulations of the NCAA, the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and the University. Recruit highly qualified student-athletes consistent with the standards of a competitive NCAA Division II basketball program and the academic standards of the university. Develop and implement training plans and conduct practices for specific event groups. Work with athletic training and strength and conditioning staffs in developing and implementing off-season conditioning programs. Promote the general health and safety of team members. Assist in home contest management, team travel and monitoring of team members’ academic progress. Participate in departmental fund raising, promotional and public relations events including campus and community outreach and engagement projects. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.
