Ohio Wesleyan University invites applications for the position of Assistant men’s Basketball and men’s tennis Assistant Coach and HHK Instructor. This is a twelve-month full benefit position. The individual will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Athletics, the head coaches of men’s basketball and tennis and the Chair of Human Health and Kinetics. The assistant coach will be responsible for helping plan for and the administration of all phases of a quality Division III basketball and men’s tennis program.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of competency in basketball and men’s tennis skill instruction and coaching, preferably at the NCAA Division III level; the ability to conduct practice sessions focusing on individual and team skill development; an understanding of the role of intercollegiate athletics in a highly competitive academic environment; strong recruiting, teaching, communication and coaching skills; an inherent ability to build and maintain positive relationships with student-athletes, staff and alumni.
