Penn State Harrisburg a member of the NCAA Division III and the Capital Athletics Conference is accepting applications for a Men’s Head Basketball Coach/Coordinator of Athletics. This position is responsible to the Director of Athletics for the organization, development and leadership of the varsity men’s basketball intercollegiate athletic program in support of the mission and core values of the University. Duties include recruiting and retaining prospective student athletes; coordinating practice planning, skill development and designing strategies which prepare the team for competition; establishing and enforcing rules of conduct as well as mentoring student-athletes to foster athletic, academic, emotional, and social growth; hiring, supervising and evaluating part time coaches/staff; adheres to University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations while overseeing the activities of assistant coaches. Other responsibilities include coordinating the College’s Club Sports program. Monitors paperwork and documentation required by the University, including student membership/waiver forms, required certification for coaches and team competition registrations and payments for leagues. Meets regularly with the club advisors, executive officers and coaches to provide direction, resources, and guidance. Responsible for coordinating sports camps and clinics programs. Assist with the management of home athletic contests. Evening and weekend hours. Bachelor’s Degree required
