Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Director of Player Development under the general supervision of the Head Coach for Men’s Basketball. This is a non-coaching position which will handle all daily logistical off the court functions. The incumbent will coordinate travel; track academic performance of players with Morgan Center; coordinate all “Clinic Responsibilities” and speaking engagements; Official visits; supervises training table assist with perspective student athlete visits. These positions will supervisor student managers and video staff. Other duties include game day responsibility related to off the court activities, requiring weekend and evening work. The most qualified candidate will possess: the ability to run XO’s software and a strong knowledge of recruiting database programs; knowledge of and familiarity with campus admissions process; ability to explain complex, multi-step processes to individuals unfamiliar with the process; knowledge and skill with technology including word processing, presentation, spreadsheet and database software, and social media tools.
