The University of North Carolina Wilmington, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Colonial Athletic Association, invites applications for the 12-month, benefits eligible position of Director of Men’s Basketball Operations. This position reports directly to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and acts as primary liaison between players, coaches, sport supervisor, and director of student-athlete academic support. Individual is also directly responsible for all men’s basketball operational logistics. Coordination of team and recruiting travel (charters, commercial flights, buses, hotels, meals on the road and itineraries). Responsible for pre/post game meals at home. Assist with on-campus official and unofficial visits. Coordinate community service events with team; fund-raising and promotional events; liaison to the Seahawk Club. Assist with coordination of complimentary tickets. Acts as liaison for men’s basketball student-athletes with sport supervisor regarding orientation, residence life issues, and student affairs assistance. Coordinates basketball activities with appropriate staff to include the Trask Coliseum facilities, event management, campus police, and athletic communications. Coordinates schedules for team practices, with visiting teams, and competitions.
