Must be available to assist with coaching duties on all weekday afternoons, including weekends, for the duration of the specified season for the varsity sport, to assist with conducting practice sessions, and be available for contests which are scheduled. Assist the Varsity Men’s Basketball Coach with the ordering, issuance, and collection of all equipment and supplies. Drive college vehicles, as required, to away games/meets. Attend all department and coaches’ meetings as well as athletic recognition functions and other related activities. Assist the Varsity Men’s Basketball Coach with recruiting high school athletes and establishing good working relations with high school coaches and administrators. Assist the Varsity Men’s Basketball Coach in recommending those students who should receive athletic awards. Assist the Varsity Men’s Basketball Coach in scouting of opponents. Submit on a weekly basis all necessary reports and statistical data as required. Assist with publicity coverage of the sport which shall include releases to the local news media and be available for personal interviews as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. (M.E.)
