**This is a dual job – Admissions Counselor / Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach
1. Student Services Coordinator (80%, 12-month contract). Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Student Services Coordinator, with the working title of Admissions Counselor, will meet with prospective students and their families in a variety of venues, promoting opportunities at UW-La Crosse, advising them of admission processes, and targeting students who will contribute to the strength of UW-La Crosse. The successful candidate will execute recruitment efforts and develop working relationships with high school counselors and community organizations. Extensive auto travel is required year-round, especially during the fall and spring recruitment seasons, primarily in the Midwest.
2. Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach (20%, 9-month contract). The individual should possess the skills and experiences necessary to serve as an assistant coach on the UW-L basketball coaching staff. The Assistant Coach will report to the Head Basketball Coach and will have demonstrated the ability to evaluate opponents, contribute to the design and implementation of game plans, organize and conduct practices, respond to game day situations, and recruit potential student-athletes. He or she will also be responsible for various administrative tasks associated with running an intercollegiate basketball program, potentially including, but not limited to, the planning of team travel; managing equipment and/or video and technology needs; and coordinating recruiting.
