The UWSP Men’s Basketball program competes at the highest level of NCAA III earning 3 national championships and 7 top-10 finishes in the past eight years. Based on the applicants strengths, responsibilities of the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach could include: player development, strength and conditioning, practice preparation, monitoring academics, scheduling, office administration, supervision of graduate assistants and managers, budgeting, team travel, scouting, opponent game preparation, booster club and alumni development. Additional responsibilities include youth camp and tournament administration, and conducting coaching clinics. The person in this position will also assist the Office of Admissions with recruitment initiatives that will reach students from a wide range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Regional travel and occasional evenings/weekends are conditions of employment. Primary responsibilities include: scheduling and executing travel to assigned high schools and college fairs; and providing information about UWSP to prospective students and their parents in individual and group settings at college fairs, high schools, UWSP ViewPoints, and during prospective students’ visits to the UWSP campus.
