•Ability to successfully recruit highly skilled student-athletes for the Men’s Basketball program
•Knowledge of the fundamentals of basketball in order to teach during on the floor practice sessions
•Ability to help motivate the team to become successful
•Ability to cooperate, get alone and work well with members of the community, supervisor, and other employees of the University
•Skill and ability to effectively supervise personnel and complete all associated personnel actions in a timely and accurate manner when called upon
•Ability to communicate effectively
•Knowledge of and skills to assist with planning and directing fund-raising campaigns which enhance the private fund-raising efforts associated with the athletic program in coordination with the director of Athletics
•Knowledge of and the ability to comply with all policies and regulations of the University, the MEAC Conference and the NCAA
•Ability to prepare accurate records and reports
•Ability to provide direction to student-athletics to ensure they are making progress toward graduation
