Has authority or responsibility over staff employees on a regular basis but is not a direct supervisor. May assign, schedule and monitor the work of staff.
-Assists in the court and classroom instruction and coaching in basketball techniques and strategy.
-Evaluates individual performance and provides leadership and instruction in areas of deficiency.
-Participates in the collection and analysis of tactical and statistical data of opponent teams.
-Assists in designing game plans and strategies.
-Counsels team members in academic, disciplinary and personal matters.
-Recommends individuals for basketball scholarships.
-Studies, evaluates, and recommends innovations in basketball strategy and equipment.
-Rules Compliance is a central element in personnel matters for employees within the Department of Athletics and for those employees outside the Department of Athletics who are involved in NCAA rules compliance activities. These individuals must comply with all NCAA rules on compliance and will be evaluated on that basis.
