The Department of Athletics at Curry College invites applications for its Head Men’s Basketball Coach. This part time position is responsible for all aspects of coaching, as well as developing and administering a Division III basketball program within NCAA, The Commonwealth Coast Conference, and institutional standards. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader capable of fostering competitive team success while maintaining a strong emphasis on the personal development and academic achievement of student athletes. The ideal candidate must possess very strong recruiting, teaching and coaching skills. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing budgets; ordering equipment; fundraising; scheduling of contests; hiring assistant coaches; and performing other duties as reasonably assigned.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and prior experience as a head or assistant coach at the high school, club or the collegiate level is required. In addition, the successful candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and demonstrated commitment to academics and athletics; excellent organizational and administrative skills; success in recruiting student athletes and possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends as required. Employment in this position is contingent upon the successful completion of all required pre-employment background checks.
