Cardinal Stritch University is accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach, who will be responsible for the organization and administration of a highly successful and competitive NAIA men’s basketball program.  The men’s basketball program won the NAIA National Championship in 2012-13 and is traditionally successful in conference championships and NAIA post-season championship tournaments.

The Position Requirements

The Head Basketball Coach will be a positive, energetic leader with the ability to coach, mentor, motivate and recruit student-athletes who possess the desire to excel academically and athletically. Reporting directly to the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach will administer the progress and success of a competitive NAIA Men’s Basketball program that operates with integrity and within the scope and intent of all University, Conference and NAIA rules and regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing day to day operations; practice and game day preparation; planning and directing recruitment; coaching, conditioning and training of student-athletes; monitoring academic performance/progress and eligibility status of student athletes; operational and fiscal management; scheduling; fundraising and maintaining positive public relations with donors, supporters, media, the community and constituency groups on campus; hire supervise and mentor assistant coaches (paid and volunteer); promote an atmosphere of compliance within the program and effectively monitor activities regarding compliance.
