OVERVIEW

Assist the head coach in the planning, organization, and administration of the Men’s Basketball programs, assist with both Varsity and JV programs. This is a part-time 12 month position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

*Adhere to all NCAA, conference, and institutional guidelines, policies, and rules

* Demonstrate leadership and professional behavior when dealing with student-athletes

*Maintain positive constructive working relationships with student-athletes, athletics department coaches and staff, and all members of the College community

*Take a sincere interest in the personal, academic, and athletic development of the student-athletes

*Exhibit loyal, supportive, and cooperative behavior to the head coach, the men’s basketball program, and the College

*At all times promote the Men’s basketball program in a positive way to the College community, to the community outside the College, to high school coaches, and to recruits

*Recruiting
o maintaining the recruiting databases
o Corresponding with recruits via mailings, phone calls and emails
o scheduling and setting up recruit visits
o attending off campus recruiting events
o attending high school games and showcase tournaments

*Basketball Team Management support
o Assist in practice planning, organization, and on-the-floor coaching
o Assist in scouting and game preparations
o Game day duties
