HoopDirt.com can confirm that former Illinois-Chicago head coach Howard Moore will join Wisconsin Interim Head Coach Greg Gard’s staff as an assistant coach. Mike DeCourcy of the Sporting News was the first to report this earlier today. Before becoming the head coach at UIC back in 2010, Moore had spent five seasons with Gard as an assistant on Bo Ryan’s staff at Wisconsin. He also played for the Badgers from 1990-95 before stops as an assistant at Chicago, Bradley, Ball State, and Loyola (Chicago). He was released from UIC this past spring after going 49-111 in his five seasons at the helm. Look for the official announcement to be made shortly.
