A few quick things that I’ve heard so far today…

• Sounds like Butler assistant coach Michael Lewis will be hired as an assistant at Nebraska. He would replace Phil Beckner who departed for Boise State earlier this spring.  Lewis, who played at Indiana, has been on the Butler staff for the past five seasons.

• Duquesne associate head coach Brian Nash will become the director of basketball at IMG Academy in Florida. Nash, the former head coach at St. Francis (NY) had been on Jim Ferry’s staff since 2012. He has also been an assistant at Fairfield, Seton Hall, Siena, Sacred Heart, and St. Bonaventure.

• I have heard that Central Florida head coach Johnny Dawkins will promote graduate assistant Jaycob Ammerman to video coordinator.  He has been at UCF since 2014, and also served as an assistant coach at Flagler College (FL) for one season.

• Multiple sources have told me that Henry Bibby turned down the job at Cal State L.A.  Other names being mentioned here are Langston University head coach Stan Holt, and Cal State San Marcos head coach Jim Saia.  More on this search as I hear it.
