Mount Vernon Nazarene is in search of a graduate assistant men’s basketball coach to assist the head coach in all areas of running and operating a college basketball program.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in administrative duties of the program
• Assist in organization and the recruitment of potential student athletes
• Liaison to the admissions office, academic services, and on campus dining
• Traveling coordinator for all road trips
• Coordinator of all student managers
• Assistant Video Coordinator
• Assist in community service projects and relations
• Assist in scheduling of games
• Academic supervision of current student athletes
• Oversee eligibility of incoming and current student athletes
• Assist in alumni relations
• Assist in off season strength and conditioning program
• Assist in practice planning and execution
• Assist in opponent scouting and preparation
• Assist in recruitment and organization of the Junior Varsity program
• Assist in summer camp organization

Job Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in any field
• Accepted into MVNU graduate program of choice
• Strong statement of faith
• Ability to work in a year around fast paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Prior collegiate playing/coaching experience preferred
• Ability to work in a team driven first environment
• Well versed in Microsoft word, excel, outlook, and power point
• Positive upbeat energy REQUIRED
