HoopDirt.com has learned that Barry Mohun is retiring as the head basketball coach at Shelton State CC (AL) after 19 seasons. According to great sources, his replacement will be current Shelton State assistant coach Joe Eatmon.

Under Mohun’s leadership, the Buccaneers had posted 13 consecutive 20-win seasons. Mohun’s honors include being named Alabama Community College Conference Coach of the Year, District 10 Coach of the Year for the National Junior College Athletic Association and Birmingham Tip Off Club Coach of the Year.

Prior to joining Mohun’s staff, Eatmon served as the head coach at Alabama Southern CC, and was also an assistant at West Alabama.
