Johns Hopkins University defeat host Franklin & Marshall, 67-57 on Wednesday night. The win was the 500th at Hopkins for head coach Bill Nelson and assistant coach Ed Richardson, who have coached together for 31 years. Nelson and Richardson are just the sixth coaching tandem in men’s Division III basketball to win 500 games together. Their record at Hopkins now stands at 500-309 (.618) in 31 seasons with the Blue Jays. The duo accounts for 500 of the program’s 930 all-time wins (92 seasons). Nelson won his 600th career game earlier this season. Johns Hopkins is now 15-7 (11-4) on the season.
